About Us
The Lions Club has been serving the
Lyons Club for over 75 years by providing scholarships to Lyons High graduates and awards to local students, sponsorship of the annual Lyons Channel 9 Heath Fair, eye care and glasses for those in need, highway cleanup, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, tree planting projects and participation in many more community events.
The Lyons Leo Club is a youth service
organization, sponsored by the Lions Club and chartered in 2015 through Lions Club International. Local youth ages 14 to 18 are eligible to participate. Each year this primarily youth-managed group has grown stronger in their membership, leadership, organization, and productivity resulting in 1000s of hours of community service in Lyons, Longmont, Loveland and Boulder
County over the past 5 years. A true example of grassroots effort, the Leos regularly assist groups such as the Lyons
Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF), Lyons Community Foundation, local elementary and pre-schools, Lyons Seniors, Longmont OUR Center, Habitat for Humanity, people with disabilities, the homeless, and others. Their funds are used for projects such as Hope for Homeless Bags packed with essential items and resources, materials, supplies, and safety equipment for projects, and on occasion food and drinks for volunteers. We are so proud of our Leos!
